That those outside the church would meet the gospel and become God’s own.
Teaching them how to live as one who belongs to God.
Walking with them until they are living the calling He entrusted to them.
Seventeen, in New Zealand. Alone in a foreign country. That was when God found me.
‘I love you.’
Those words saved my life. Some people still haven’t heard them.
So I live a life that carries the heart of God.
My work is not to hand people answers.
I train them to stand before God on their own each day — to hear His will, discern it, and obey.
I help them live out that calling day by day, right where their life is.
And I raise them up so that, long after I am gone, they go on living as God’s own.
Daily meditation training with youth and young adults — learning to stand before God. Teaching the whole Bible through Panorama of the Old and New Testaments. Leading people to encounter God through Scripture, prayer, and worship. Shepherding a parish — home and hospital visitation, weddings, and funerals.
Meeting people. Sharing a meal. Listening to their story, and writing it down. Building meditation apps. Writing the blog. Preaching, praying, and counselling on the street.
Korea→New Zealand→Korea→Canada
A 1.5-generation immigrant who crossed to New Zealand at seventeen. Somewhere between Korean, Kiwi, and Canadian — I know what it is to be fully at home in neither, and I want to stand with people in that place.
This is where my life is, and where I was sent.
