성령 세례 이해하기

사도행전을 읽다 보면 우리는 "성령 세례"라는 강력하고 의미 있는 표현을 만나게 됩니다. 그렇다면 성령 세례는 정확히 무엇을 뜻할까요? 간단히 말하면, 성령 세례는 성령께서 믿는 사람들 안에 처음으로 영구히 내주하시는 사건입니다. 예수님께서는 승천하시기 전에 제자들에게 이렇게 약속하셨습니다.

"요한은 물로 세례를 베풀었으나 너희는 몇 날이 못 되어 성령으로 세례를 받으리라." (사도행전 1:5)
