오늘의 말씀

6 성경에도 아브라함에 대해서 같은 말씀이 있습니다. "아브라함이 하나님을 믿으니, 하나님께서 아브라함의 믿음을 받으시고, 그를 의롭다고 여기셨다."

7 그러므로 여러분은 믿음으로 사는 사람이 참 아브라함의 자녀라는 것을 알아야 합니다.

8 또 성경은 장차 일어날 일, 곧 하나님께서 이방인을 믿음으로 의롭게 하여 줄 것을 미리 일러 주었습니다. 이 복음을 먼저 아브라함에게 전했는데 그것은 "모든 민족이 너로 말미암아 복을 받을 것이다"라는 성경 말씀과 같은 것입니다.

9 아브라함이 이를 믿으니 그 믿음 때문에 복을 받았습니다. 누구든지 믿는 사람은 아브라함처럼 복을 받습니다.

10 그러나 율법을 의지하는 사람은 다 저주를 받습니다. 성경에도 이렇게 적혀 있습니다. "율법책에 적혀 있는 것을 다 지키지 않는 사람은 저주를 받는다."

11 율법을 통해서는 하나님으로부터 의롭다 함을 얻지 못한다는 것이 분명합니다. 성경에 이렇게 적혀 있습니다. "의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살 것이다."

12 율법은 믿음에서 생겨난 것이 아닙니다. "율법을 지키는 사람은 율법으로 인해 살 것이다"라는 말씀도 있습니다.

Today's Word

6 So also Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.

8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you."

9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."

11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because "the righteous will live by faith."

12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, "The person who does these things will live by them."

The Galatian church was troubled by false teachers who claimed, "You must be circumcised and keep the law to be saved." They insisted that faith alone was insufficient and that obedience to the law was necessary.
